Definition: The main form of estrogen produced by the ovaries, and the most efficient and potent estrogen.
Pronunciation: es-trah-DIE-ul
Also Known As: Natural estrogen, bioidentical estrogen
Common Misspellings: estridial, estradial, estrodiol, estrodial
Examples: She decided to use an estradiol patch to help ease her menopausal symptoms because it was the same estrogen that her body produced.
